M&M Precast, Inc. was fortunate to have an opportunity to team with The Fort Miller Company on a very high profile Super-Slab® project in Fairfax County, Virginia. The I-66 project offered M&M Precast the chance to demonstrate their ability to produce a high quality product under the anticipated pressures of a tight delivery schedule, complex engineering, and the scrutiny that accompanies such high profile projects.
Success: The I-66 project is on record as being one of the most successful slab replacement projects to date. M&M Precast not only met an extremely tight delivery schedule but did so by achieving a 100% on-time delivery. All 224 slabs met or exceeded quality standards set forth by The Fort Miller Company and the Virginia Department of Transportation.
From an engineering standpoint, this was a very intricate project with all 224 slabs being geometrically different. Due to the winning combination of extraordinary engineering by The Fort Miller Company and eye-to-detail manufacturing by M&M Precast, every panel fit together as designed.
