River Creek Sound Wall - Leesburg, VA
The River Creek Sound Wall Project was a joint venture between Coastal Precast Systems (CPS) and M&M Precast, Inc. CPS provided the high-quality Concrete Posts and M&M precast fabricated the very attractive and precisely made panels. The project went extremely well as all 142 panels were delivered on time, all panels fit perfectly, and there was absolutely no damage to repair. WG Construction Company from Manassas, Virginia, the installer, did an excellent job of planning, material handling, and installation. Trucking was handled by Lester Summers Trucking (Ephrata, PA) and Howerin & Son Trucking (Dover, DE).
The sound wall is located at the NW corner of the intersection between Rt. 7 and River Creek Parkway in Leesburg, Virginia. The wall will be stained at a later date to match newly installed bridges and MSE panels on Rt. 7. As you can see from the consistent concrete color, M&M Precast takes great pride in their quality program and tight control of the W/C of the concrete produces amazing results. The consistent and high-strength concrete mix is supplied to M&M precast by Maryland Portable Concrete. Maryland Portable delivers the concrete in late model front discharge trucks from an ultra modern plant less than 4 miles from M&M Precast's plant. The attractive and distinctive stone pattern was created by high quality urethane formliners supplied by Fast Formliners out of Pacific, MO.
